The Heart Centre of Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Victoria offers downloadable information for our patients, such as recommendations for their hospital stay, advice for patients with heart problems, care after pacemaker implantation, catheterization or ablation, etc.

Learn more about patient rights and responsibilities, and about the heart failure school for patients, with sessions delivered by patients themselves, in a new approach to traditional health education.
Carer Workshop
In an effort to improve care for our patients and their informal carers, in 2014 we started a series of training workshops for informal carers to broaden their knowledge and provide information regarding the services offered by our healthcare system.
There are monthly workshops dealing with the following fixed content:
The “+ Cuidado” card for carers.
Advance Directive (Living Will) registry.
Hand hygiene.
Other topics are also included, such as:
Sexuality in chronic patients.
Conflict resolution.
Relaxation.
Etc.
The sessions take place in the Unit, at the School for Patients, starting at 2 pm. Volunteer services are available for carers of admitted patients so that carers can attend the sessions. There are also complementary activities organized by staff of the Internal Medicine Unit, who hold workshops every Monday, aimed at all carers of patients admitted to the different hospital units.
