Chair of Advanced Therapies
The Chair in Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Pathology was established in 2017, following an agreement between the University of Málaga and various companies in the electromedicine sector. Its purpose is to further research and the dissemination of knowledge in cardiovascular diseases.

Directed by Professor Eduardo de Teresa, the Chair of Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Pathology is sponsored by Abbott Medical, the Abbott Foundation, Biotronic, Boston, BBraun, CSA, Medtronic, MSD and Terumo.
Chair of Advanced Therapies
The Chair of Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Pathology, established following an agreement between the University of Málaga and a series of companies in the electromedicine sector, in a generous sponsorship initiative, was created with the purpose of furthering research and the dissemination of knowledge in a key field of Medicine, such as cardiovascular diseases, which represent the leading cause of death in our country.
The Chair of Advanced Therapies features the Cardioformación platform, which provides cardiology courses for healthcare professionals; in 2022, over 5,500 professionals were trained in diabetes, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease. The courses are sponsored by major laboratories, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Esteve or Bristol-Myers Squibb. The Chair also organizes various activities, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences, with the same goal of deepening and disseminating knowledge on cardiovascular pathologies.
