Chair of Advanced Therapies
The Chair in Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Disease was established in 2017, following an agreement between the University of Málaga and various companies in the electromedical sector. Its purpose is to undertake in-depth research and disseminate knowledge on cardiovascular diseases.

Led by Professor Eduardo de Teresa, the Chair of Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Diseases is sponsored by Abbott Medical, the Abbott Foundation, Biotronic, Boston, BBraun, CSA, Medtronic, MSD and Terumo.
Chair in Advanced Therapies
The Chair in Advanced Therapies in Cardiovascular Disease, established following an agreement between the University of Málaga and a series of companies in the electromedical sector, represents a generous sponsorship initiative aimed at undertaking in-depth research and disseminating knowledge in a key field of medicine: cardiovascular diseases, the leading leading cause of death in our country.
The Chair in Advanced Therapies is responsible for CARDIOFORMACIÓN an educational platform that provides cardiology courses for healthcare professionals. In 2022 alone, over 5,500 professionals followed courses in diabetes, heart failure, ischemic heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease. The courses are sponsored by major laboratories, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Esteve or Bristol-Myers Squibb. The Chair also organizes various activities, such as seminars, workshops, and conferences, in line with its goal of providing in-depth knowledge and disseminating information on cardiovascular diseases and conditions.
